California Proposition 65

California began implementing The Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act in 1986, which is also known as CA65 or Prop65. This is mainly to promote safe, clean drinking water, and to promote consumer products without toxic substances that may cause cancer or deformed children.

The scope of Proposition 65 affected all companies that sell products in California. Manufacturers must provide a “clear and reasonable” warning before knowingly exposing anyone to the listed chemicals. Therefore, for specific products, Innodisk has been providing the following warnings on its packaging: “This product contains chemicals that California identifies as substances that cause cancer, congenital defects, or other reproductive harm.”

Green Product

To make products in an environmentally friendly way and reduce their impact on the environment, we practice the following: Green design: Maximize the possibility of recycling and reuse. Green procurement: Raw materials provided by suppliers must comply with requirements of international regulations and the clients. Green database management: Effective storage and management of technical files. Green supply chain: Upstream and downstream cooperating seamlessly.  Green certification: IECQ: QC080000/ISO14001/ISO14064-1

Hazardous Substances Free Statement

Innodisk actively implements the strategy for global development, and deeply understands that to not fall behind the world trend and satisfy customer needs, we must synchronize our operation with other major international manufacturers’ standards to join the effort for environment protection and produce products that meet environmentally friendly standards.

As the leading manufacturer of industrial storage devices and embedded peripherals, Innodisk complies with the EU's directive on the production of hazardous substances (Directive for Restriction of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment), RoHS (2011/65/EU), (EU) 2015/863, REACH (SVHC) and its appendix, PFOS (2006/122/EC), and POPs; the packaging materials also comply with the PPW (94/62/EC) packaging material directive.

Metal Conflict-Free
Metal Conflict-Free

As a decent corporate citizen, Innodisk is committed to social responsibility, respect for human rights, and continues to care for conflict minerals issues. We are committed to investigating the supply chain in detail to ensure metals such as Tin (Sn), Tantalum (Ta), Tungsten (W), Gold (Au), Cobalt (Co), and Palladium (Pd) are not originated from mining areas controlled by armed groups in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and its neighboring countries.

Innodisk also requires all its suppliers to fill in the “Conflict Minerals Survey Template (RMI_CMRT)” to investigate and disclose the use of conflict minerals in raw materials to meet client and legal requirements.
